HeartSync
The audio plugin that listens to your heartbeat.
VST3 · macOS & Windows 10/11Meet HeartSync.
A VST3 plugin that connects to a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor and maps your live pulse to your DAW's tempo using OSC. As your heart rate shifts, your session's BPM follows within a range you control. The result is a project that stays in time, but is never fixed to a static number.
Your heartbeat becomes the tempo.
HeartSync reads your live heart rate and converts it directly into BPM inside your DAW. Your project's tempo moves with you – speeding up when you do, settling when you rest.
- Standard Bluetooth LE heart-rate monitors
- ~1–2 second response time
- Set min/max BPM range to keep your project usable
- Offset and scale controls for any genre
Dial in how responsive it feels.
The Smooth control sets how quickly HeartSync reacts. Under the hood, it adjusts an exponential moving average across recent beats – rejecting glitches and easing between changes so the tempo moves musically.
- 0.0x – raw data, quick response
- 0.30x – default, tracks over a few beats
- 1.0x – very steady, slow gradual shifts
Presets that match your pace.
Factory presets cover common heart-rate ranges – resting through cardio. Each sets BPM range, smoothing, and mapping curve so you can start quickly and fine-tune later.
- Resting ~65 BPM
- Light movement ~70s
- Warm-up 80–90s
- Cardio 100+ BPM
- Save up to 10 custom presets
See exactly what your system is doing.
A live console view shows how the bridge and Bluetooth connection are behaving. Device scans, connection status, and errors are all visible – making troubleshooting straightforward.
- Real-time log of bridge messages
- Clear connection states
- Heart-rate updates with timestamps
- Logs saved to disk for sharing with us
This transparency helps early users refine HeartSync – you don't need to be a developer to use it.
Built for your studio.
Simple enough for a first plugin. Precise enough for a touring rig.
